In the matter of  Wm. C. McKEE Late Sergeant of Co. H 22nd Regt. Ills. Vol. Inft

 

ON THIS 22nd day of July A.D. 1890; personally appeared before me a Notary Public

in and for the aforesaid County duly authorized to administer oaths, Wm. C. McKEE

aged ___ years, a resident of St. Louis in the County of St. Louis and State of Missouri

well known to me to be reputable and entitle to credit, and who, being duly sworn,

declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows:

 

That in his original Declaration for Pension Claimant stated that. During the Summer and

Fall of 1861 while his Regiment was chasing the Rebel Jeff THOMPSON through the

swamps in Rear of Binds Point, Missouri he contracted Diarrhea, which continued During

the winter of 1861 & 2.

and during the siege of Corrinth in the Spring of 1862 from camping in the Swamps and

using Stagnated water, the Diarrhea became chronic, resulting in Disease of Lungs and

general Disability, which has continually grown more chronic. That the said Wm C. McKEE

Did contract his Disability During the summer and Fall of 1861 but Did not become chronic

until the spring of 1862, from which time claimant has continued to suffer with said Disability
